Does Chat use a separate team account?
It uses your Scribed identity and workspace membership. Workspace and channel permissions determine which conversations and actions are available to you.
Is there a desktop experience as well as mobile?
Scribed Chat has dedicated Mac and Windows desktop apps, along with iPhone, iPad, and Android apps. The download section shows each platform’s current release availability. You can also open team Chat in your browser with no installation.
What does local AI actually do?
It helps you draft a reply, explore an idea, or summarize recent messages you explicitly choose to include. Download a model inside the installed app first; after that, inference runs on your device, including offline. Device memory and storage requirements vary by model. The browser app does not run local AI.
Does the AI read or post to my conversations automatically?
No. You choose whether to include recent conversation context. Prompts and responses stay in temporary memory on your device and clear when you leave the assistant. There is no cloud fallback. A draft reaches your team only when you explicitly share it.
Can I use Chat offline?
Local AI can work offline after you download a model in the installed desktop or supported mobile app. Team messaging, fetching conversation context, and sharing a draft still require an internet connection.
